Dan Bell, 91, of Louisville, KY, passed away on January 26, 2024. Born on December 24, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, Dan is survived by his wife of 71 years, Barbara J. (Werhollick) Bell. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Dan was known for his love of family and his passion for fishing. He spent many joyful hours casting his line and enjoying the serenity of the water. In his earlier years, he frequented the Town Club in Highland, Indiana, where he resided for over 30 years, raising his family, building homes and making lasting friendships. After retiring, Dan and his wife relocated to Sun City Center, Florida, where he continued to be the life of the party.
Dan had a successful career as a carpenter and home builder. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were admired by many. He took great pride in his work, leaving behind a legacy of beautifully crafted homes.
In addition to his wife, Dan is survived by his children: David A. Bell (Linda), Dennis M. Bell, Diane L. Collins, and Donna L. Simonton (Rick). He was also a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell G and Jeanette Bell and brother, Mitchell.
No services will be held at this time. For those who wish to honor Dan's memory, contributions can be made to a charity of their choice.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to Magnolia Cremations located in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
