Darius Darneil Anthony Howell
11/9/1993 - 3/18/2026
Darius Darneil Anthony Howell passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2026, at UofL Hospital.
Born on November 9, 1993, in Flint, Michigan, Darius spent most of his life there before relocating in 2017 for work. He began his career with Two Men and a Truck and later joined Nuetz All American Trucking, where he earned his CDL. Through his work, he helped families transition to new chapters of their lives across the country—something he took great pride in doing with care and dedication.
Darius was deeply loved and admired not only by his family but by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a genuine spirit, a warm presence, and a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. He loved the outdoors and lived fully in the moment, but nothing brought him more joy than playing the piano and spending time with his children. Within his family, Darius was the glue that held everyone together. He always knew what to say, how to say it, and how to offer comfort, laughter, or encouragement exactly when it was needed.
He is survived by his parents, Sonya Jackson-Myles and Linnel Howell; his siblings, Shervondra Howell, Shannel Howell, Linnel Howell, Jr., Dwyane Thompson, Devan Thompson, Jalen Adams, and Avant Adams.
Darius’s life was cut far too short, leaving an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him. He leaves behind his cherished daughter, Jade, and his two beloved sons, Onyx and Saffron, who were the light of his life. His love, his presence, and his impact on all of us will never be forgotten. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
