David L. Grunden

David L. Grunden, 69, of  New Salisbury, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026. David was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a cherished friend to many.

He was the beloved husband and best friend of Rebecca Grunden. He is survived by his children, Amanda (Grunden) Yeates, Amity Lorey, Andrea Swank, David Grunden, and Chris Grunden; his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren;  and his brother, Gus Colvin. He also leaves behind his loyal companions—his dog Roscoe

David is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Colvin; his father, Warden Grunden; his stepfather, Dea Colvin; His beloved hunting dog, Suzie, they will be reunited once again. 

David was a proud IU Hoosiers fan who found joy in rabbit hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and, most of all, spending time with his family. He was greatly loved as a father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend, and his warmth and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
