David Thompson passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. Born on October 19, 1951, David lived a life full of love, generosity, and devotion to his family and friends.

He is survived by his four children: David (Ashley) Thompson, Nicole (Jake) Stotts, Brian Thompson, and Daniel (Chelsea) Liner. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren: Jonathan Thompson, David "Doop" Thompson, Summer Thompson, Olivia Stotts, Carson Stotts, Lillian Stotts, Willow Stotts, Shane Liner, Selah Liner, and Layla Liner.

David is also survived by his lifelong friend Penny Liner, his brother Clayton Gribbons, and two sisters, Teresa and Rita. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn Smith and Sonny Thompson; his son, Anthony Thompson; and four brothers, Michael Gribbons, Damon Gribbons, Dennis Thompson, and Tommy Thompson, as well as two sisters, Linda and Karen.

David had a love for fishing, yard sales, and collecting treasures. He was always willing to lend a hand and went above and beyond for his children. Known for his easygoing nature and generous heart, everyone who met David loved him. He was a great friend, a fighter, and stayed strong until the end. David was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
