Delrose Dunn

Delrose (Mason) Dunn, 76, of Underwood, Indiana, passed away on August 3, 2024.

She was a hard-working, loving mother and devoted wife who always put her children above all else. She loved to go yard-saling, play cards and games, and spend time with friends and family. Delrose was an empathetic, friendly soul who was always full of positive energy and made everyone around her feel at ease and welcome. She took in many kids throughout her life who just needed a stable home while they finished school.

Delrose will be deeply mourned by all who loved her and dearly missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Willy Dunn; son, Daniel Dunn; daughters, Angela (Jack Fetz) Dunn and Sherry (David) Thornberry; grandchildren, Brandon Sharp, Sara (Ian) Nicholson, Lydia (Richard) Watford, and David Thornberry III; great-granddaughter, Molly; sister, Norma Mason; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and life-long friends. 

She is preceded in death by her infant son, Steven Coomer II; parents, Alvin and Eva Mason; brother and sister-in-law, Manuel and Janice Mason; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. 

A grave-side service will be held at the Mountain Grove Cemetery in Henryville, Indiana, beginning at 8:00 am on Saturday, August 17, and will be followed by an open-house Celebration of Life at her residence in Underwood, Indiana, for the remainder of the day. All are welcome.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
