Denise Llyn Potter

April 7, 1954 - June 23, 2025

Denise Llyn Potterage 71, went to be with Jesus on Monday, June 23, 2025. Denise was born Denise Llyn Dalton on April 7, 1954 in Sacramento, CA to AB “Jack” Dalton and Geraldine Dalton. She married Donald E. Potter of Elmira, NY on June 16, 1973 in Sacramento, CA.

She is survived by her husband Donald Potter whom she was married to for 52 years, and their children: Corena Potter and Edward “Eddie” Potter (Jamie). Her granddaughters: Shara Webster (Myles), Jordyn Driskell and Chloe Driskell. Her great grandson: Annias Webster. She is also survived by an aunt and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Anyone who knew Denise knows that she was a blessing to all. She rarely met a stranger. She is known for her love of God, Life, Family and Friends. She was the life of the party and was always trying to be funny and make everyone laugh and feel loved. Her love was evident in the way she instantly loved and accepted her daughter-in-law and her grandson-in-law into the family immediately after meeting them and treated them as if they were her own.

She loved to travel and visit new places, her favorite being Hawaii as a celebration of her husband's retirement. She loved going to Gatlinburg and pretty much anywhere as long as she was with her family.

In her healthy years, she loved to grow and take care of her plants and had them growing like crazy all around the house. She was an avid reader and loved to sit down with a good book. She also loved baking and cooking and taking care of her family.

If you asked her family and friends, “What was one thing you could say to describe who she was?”  They would tell you her Love, laughter, and bright spirit was so strong and evident and infectious because you couldn’t help but feel it anytime you were around her. She was always there when needed, whether it was jumping in her car and heading to you or talking to you for hours on the phone.

So in honor of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; the family would like to say “We love you to the moon and back and We will see you soon”.

Service to be held at Generation Changers Church 533 Wildcat Way, Lebanon, TN 37090 on Saturday July 12, 2025 at 2:00pm Central time.
