Dennis Barger

Dennis Barger, 53, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on January 6, 2026. He was born on December 11, 1971, to Albert and Eva Dean Barger.

Dennis was a proud graduate of New Albany High School, Class of 1990. Following graduation, he served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He later built a career primarily as a pharmacy technician and most recently was employed at Mitchell Plastics.

Dennis had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and following horse racing. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, loyalty to family, and the time he shared with those he loved.

He is survived by his brothers, Greg (Carol) Barger, Jeff (Debra) Barger, Mike (Bonnie) Barger, and Jerry Barger, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his beloved son, Blake Barger; his parents, Albert “Al” and Eva Dean Barger; and his brothers, Randy, Bryan, and Neal Barger.

Dennis will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
