Dennis Mitchell “Dennie” Patterson Jr., 45, passed away on April 29, 2025, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Born on July 30, 1979, in Henrico, Virginia, Dennie was a person who truly embraced life with open arms. He had a knack for making those around him feel comfortable and at ease no matter what.

Dennie was known for being down to earth and outgoing, always ready to lend a helping hand. His approachable nature and generous spirit left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of knowing him. He was just 45 years old when he left us, and although his time with us feels far too short, the impact he made on each of our lives is undeniable.

He found joy in simple pleasures—especially catfishing and spending time with his beloved dogs. Whether casting a line into the water or relaxing at home with his four-legged companions, Dennie embraced the moments that brought peace and connection.

A devoted husband of nearly 20 years and a proud father to two sons, Dennis is lovingly remembered by his wife, Rebecca Renee Gulley; his sons, Daniel Patterson and Aiden Patterson; his father, Dennis Mitchell Patterson Sr.; his mother, Doris Banton; his brothers, Mike Patterson (Heather), Josh Patterson (Amber), and Chris Patterson (Tammy); his grandmother, Betty Osborne; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joshua “Buck” Osborne, and his grandmother, Zellar Ramirez — both of whom held a special place in Dennie’s heart.

Although Dennie is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace Dennis Patterson Jr., may your spirit swim freely in the rivers of eternity
