Dianna Bryant

9/25/1954-12/31/2025

Matriarch, Dianna Lea Simers Bryant “Mimi”, 71 of Georgetown, Indiana on December 31, 2025, passed peacefully at her home, which she treasured, from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was surrounded with the love of her children and grandchildren who loved her dearly.

Born September 25,1954 at Ft Hood, Texas, raised in Delaware, Indiana born to Richard Lee Simmers (Linda) and Selda Rae Jones (Norman Poore). She was the eldest child. Siblings: Lyn Becht (Dave), Lesa Poore, Jerry (Teresa)Poore, Joe Mark Poore (f. Teresa) whom she loved dearly.

She married Roger Dale Bryant “Hot Rod”, b 9/10/1950- d. 9/3/1998, of Osgood, IN on March 17, 1973. Dianna has five children one daughter, Andria Lannette Mavros (Alex) and four sons, Gregory “Bubba” Edward (f. Beth), Bradley Dale (Brittany), Christopher Eli (Ella), and Joshua Ray “Lunchbox” d 5-11-2016.

She was Mimi to Jessalyn Marie (Matt), Ashley Elizabeth, Rachael Lee, Skyler Alaine, Amanda Rayanne, Lillian Grace, Alexis Cheyenne, Olivia Rae (Albert), Kayla Marie, Naomi Lea, Nora Roxanne, Arlo Roger and Allie Ann.  Mimi was very excited to welcome 2 great-grandchildren into the world in 2026: Baby Naderman and Amelia Mae.  Nieces: Stephanie Schmidt, Kristen Davidson (Anthony), Nephews: John (April) Kennedy many others and also on her husband Rogers side in addition to great niece/nephews.

The list of those Mimi loved and adored is endless a special mention is Barbara Tingle her best friend and sister-in-law.

Dianna began a family tradition in 1991 of hosting a family reunion at her beloved property and home which became widely known as “The Compound.” Her passion for music and the gathering of family and friends fueled her soul. She looked forward to her annual Hog Roast each year and she was so delighted to see each and every single person.

Her MO in life was proudly playing her music LOUD and Proud as she needed to feel it in her bones while jamming it out whether it be cooking (which she did amazingly!), getting ready to go save lives, dancing in the living room or driving to see her grandbabies.

She had the most dynamically beautiful smile with radiant blue eyes that would twinkle as she spoke to you. Never a moment went by that she wasn’t fully engaged in the conversation making all feel so loved and wanted in her presence.

She was not only “Mom” to her biological children. Dianna was a source of nurturing support and guidance to many youths in Floyd County as she always opened her home to all in need. She did not judge, only provided encouragement, guidance, reassurance and hugs.

Dianna spent 42 years as a devoted Registered Nurse at Southwest, Norton Audubon and VNA. She was a generous person filled with compassion for others. Often making sure everyone in her world was fed, clothed, bathed and loved.

Dianna was preceded in death and received into heaven with loving embraces by her parents, husband and son Joshua.

Keep her family in your prayers, kind thoughts and support during this time of immense loss.

Please join us in a Celebration of Life at Tunnel Hill Christian Church CAC Room, 5105 Old Georgetown Road, Georgetown, Indiana 47122 on January 17th, 2026.  11:00am will begin the gathering of friends and family, a Service of Love and Life at 1:00pm with a meal to follow, all are invited.
