Donald Ray Weaver
1/17/1940-06/21/2024
Donald "Donnie" Ray Weaver, 84, of Laconia, Indiana, solemnly left this world on June 21st, 2024. Donald is survived by his eldest and remaining sibling, Jesse Robert Weaver. He is also survived by two daughters, one son, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Donald is preceded in death by siblings who departed this world earlier than they should have: Johnny Weaver, Thomas "Tommy" Weaver, and Wanda Weaver-Zweydoff. They were gone but never forgotten, and neither will Donald or anyone after him.
Donald had a lifelong passion for learning and creativity. His hobbies included a love for books and writing his own stories. He was skilled in carpentry and had a talent for hand painting billboards and fleet trucks, a craft he practiced during the days when he owned his own painting business.
A high school graduate from the 1950s, Donald continued to pursue education throughout his life. He proudly graduated from Ball State University in the early 2010s, achieving various degrees. His thirst for knowledge was insatiable, and he instilled this same passion in some of his descendants, often reminding them to "never stop learning because you will never know it all."
Donald's legacy of curiosity, craftsmanship, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
