Donna Hanks

Donna Hanks, age 69, passed away on November 22, 2025, due to complications from a stroke. She was born on June 8, 1956, and lived a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity.

Donna was the daughter of the late Dessie and Albert Hanks. She was preceded in death by her sister Alice Yarbrough and by her children Dhonyell Lindsey and Daniel Cave. She is survived by her twin brother Danny Hanks and her sisters Anna Morgan, Nellie Lockard, and Sharon Hanks.

Donna’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to Bradley Murphy and Shonna Hanks, a cherished grandmother to Courtney Lindsey, Austin Hanks, Justin Tucker, Jessica Tucker, Jazmyn Toan, Charles Tucker III, Daniel Murphy, Keegan Daniels and Aprillynn Murphy, and a proud great-grandmother to Roman Tucker, Levin Hall, and Evelyn Hall.

Donna was known for her forgiving heart, her ability to lift others up, and her willingness to help anyone in need. She welcomed many “bonus family” members into her life, offering them the same unconditional love she gave her own. Donna was a loyal friend, a steady source of comfort, and someone who could always be counted on for a warm hug, a kind word, or a helping hand.

Her legacy of compassion, strength, and love lives on in all who knew her.
