Dorothy Clark

Dorothy Doris (Carroll) Clark passed away on May 13th, 2026. Born in rural Iowa on April 20 1934, she was the first in her family to attain a college education. Her passion for learning led her to a successful career in education as both a teacher and a guidance counselor.  Along her journey through life, she found a life partner in Donald Clark, her beloved husband, who proceeded her in death.

She leaves behind her a familial legacy in her children and their partners, Mary Beth Clark, James and Heddy Clark, Coleen (Clark) and Scot Costar; and her grandchildren, Emily Costar, Cordell Costar, Deanna (Costar) Mason, and Grayson Clark. 

 More importantly than any of the jobs she worked, or role she held; her impact was profound upon those who knew her. Dorothy was quick-witted and had a ready smile. She listened attentively, loved fearlessly, and opened her heart and her home to any who wanted to enter.  She was a steady anchor to those being rocked around by life's currents, and a refuge for those in need of care. She was friend to all, a woman who lived freely, enjoying all life had to offer her, with a sense of gratitude and appreciation for even the smallest of things. 

 Her absence from this earthly realm will be keenly felt, but her presence endures in the lives she touched.
