Eddie McRae

Eddie McRae, 67, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on September 28, 2025.

He is survived by his son, Kraven McRae of Pekin, IN; his daughter by heart, Gracynn Harrison of Salem, IN; sisters, Rhea Jackson, Carole Shaw-Brison, and Norma Powell; his grandson by heart, Reynn Sadler; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Mercedes Harrison. 

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Irene McRae; brother, Larry McRae; friend, Eddie Muncy; and the love of his life, Jennifer. 

He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, especially his son, playing billiards games, word games, and also loved model cars. He was also a man who loved organization and doing paperwork. 

Eddie was a 1976 graduate of Silver Creek High School. He was a former construction worker and bartender. He was full of jokes and laughter. He was a loving man who would do anything for those whom he loved. He was deeply loved by his Interim staff, and he loved them as well. He accepted Jesus Christ into his heart and loved the Lord. He, like us all, made mistakes, but became a changed man through and through and became the man he was born to be.

Cremation was chosen, and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
