Elaine Simmons

Elaine Simmons, 81, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on March 17, 2026. 

She is survived by her daughter, Dana Taylor; grandson, Christopher Taylor; siblings, Nora Weimer, William Key, and Rita Key; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. 

Elaine is preceded in death by her mother, Elaine L. Key; father, George E. Key; and several brothers and sisters. 

Elaine loved art, whether her subjects were on paper or canvas; color was her lifeline. She also loved to bake; her specialty cakes were sought after by the neighborhood. 

Elaine enjoyed her time spent as an ordering clerk for a fine arts/graphic arts shop in the Virginia/Washington D.C. area. This job helped her to maintain a closeness to her favorite pastime. 

Cremation was chosen, and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
