Eric Dale Lock

Eric Dale Lock, 42, passed away on November 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and a generous spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his spouse, Joshua Aaron Arid; his mother, Debbie Ewbank, and stepfather, Steve Ewbank; his father, Richard Lock, and stepmother, Kathrina Lock. He also leaves behind his children, Kyler Lock, Kailee Lock, Kieran Lock, and Kolton Lock; his brother, Brad Ewbank, and sister-in-law, Chloe Annick Ewbank.

Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Lock, Bonnie Lock, Brilla Bowman, and Homer Cope.

He enjoyed many hobbies and interests, including cooking, shopping, watching movies, writing poetry and music, playing the lottery, and singing songs from musicals and films. These simple joys were some of the ways he expressed his creativity and found happiness.

Eric attended Austin High School and later enrolled at Empire Beauty School. In 2024, he was honored as Associate of the Year at Tru by Hilton Louisville, a recognition that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to those around him.

Above all, Eric was a loving husband, father, and son. He spoke openly and honestly, always saying what he felt. He constantly worked to better himself and carried a heart big enough to hold everyone close. He was the kind of person who kept lifelong friends, staying in touch no matter how much time passed. He gave freely, helped whenever he could, and brought laughter with his humor and warmth.

Eric’s heart, compassion, and unique spirit will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.
