Frank T. Hickam
01/11/1959-04/26/2026
Our beloved Frank T. Hickam, 67, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on January 11, 1959, Frank lived a life defined by dedication, humor, and deep love for those around him.
Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Infantry, including time with the Airborne forces and Pathfinders—accomplishments he carried with quiet pride throughout his life. Beyond his service, he was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Known to many as “Frankie,” he truly was a friend to all and an enemy to none. He had a gift for conversation and a talent for storytelling that could turn any moment into something memorable. There was never a dull conversation when Frank was around.
Frank had a deep love for the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, always eager to share stories of the “big one” on his line. He enjoyed reading historical novels and was a true trivia enthusiast, seemingly able to recall facts on nearly any subject. A passionate sports fan, he especially loved NCAA football and wrestling and could always be counted on to cheer on his beloved Hoosiers .A dedicated and hardworking man, Frank spent many years at the Walmart Distribution Center in Seymour, Indiana, where he eventually retired, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and perseverance.
Frank is survived by his loving companion, Rebecca Bolton; his children, Jennifer Hickam, Alex Hickam, and Karli Bolton; and his cherished granddaughter, Maggie Hickam. He is also survived by his siblings, James Hickam; Leo and Natalie Hickam; and Sandra Claxton, along with many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Elsie Hickam.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00
p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Seymour, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Seymour.
In Frank’s own words, “to make a long story short” and “all I said was”—we will love and miss you forever, Frankie.
