Gail Hanna, age 66, passed away on February 1, 2026. She was born on December 25, 1959.

Gail devoted her life to helping others through her work as a social worker in addiction recovery. Her compassion, determination, and deep understanding made a lasting difference in countless lives. She believed firmly in second chances and walked alongside many people through some of the most difficult moments they faced.

She was funny, hard-working, and above all, a fighter. A loving mother and a loyal friend, Gail faced life with grit and heart, meeting challenges head-on and refusing to give up—on herself or on anyone else. Her sharp humor could cut through heavy moments, and her strength inspired those who knew her best.

Gail’s legacy lives on through the many lives she touched, both professionally and personally. She will be remembered with gratitude, respect, and affection, and she will be deeply missed.

A service to honor and celebrate Gail’s life will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her daughter, Adama, and her siblings, Regina, Odetta, Vicky, Delilah Hanna, Mark Hanna III and Duane Hanna.
