In Loving Memory of My Father: A Tribute to a Passionate Artist and Motorcycle Enthusiast

Our father, Gary Carver born on June 12, 1956, who was just 68 years old, unexpectedly passed away on September 15, 2024. We lost a remarkable man.

Our father lived a life filled with passion and creativity. For as long as I can remember, he had a deep love for motorcycles. He owned one for nearly his entire life and only stopped riding a few years ago when his health no longer allowed it. His motorcycles were not just vehicles; they were a symbol of his spirit and freedom.

In addition to his love for motorcycles, our father was a natural-born artist. His talent in painting, drawing, and airbrushing was evident in everything he created.
He had an incredible ability to bring his imagination to life, and his art was not just a hobby but a fundamental part of who he was.

He was also known for his skills in rebuilding antique cars and customizing street rods for shows. His attention to detail and passion for craftsmanship turned every project into a masterpiece. His creations were not just vehicles; they were reflections of his heart and soul.

Gary is survived by his children, Litha Sonner, Debra Carver, Jeremiah Carver, and Chrystal Carver; grandchildren, David Carver, Mackenzie Sonner, Austin Sonner, Donovan Hopper, Kenneth Lawrence, Aubrey Carter, Jayla Carver, and Sevynia Dailey; a great grandchild, Cayson Hopper; and sister, Carolyn Herndon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilton and Willodean Carver; and twin brother, Jerry Carver.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, IN has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Gary had a passion for sharing his faith journey and how Jesus changed his life. He also loved sharing that story so people God put in front of him may come to know Jesus! My life was impacted forever because of my friendship and the light for Christ he shined in the life he lived!

I have several memories of my dad, too many to list here. May God give all of us peace during this time.
