Gary Thomas Perry

Gary Thomas Perry, 78, passed away on August 26, 2025.

He is survived by his children, Tracy (Matt) Alvey, Melissa Goepper Gibson, Sean Perry, Nichole Perry, and Aaron Perry; many grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his brother, Eddie (Johnny) Perry; and his sister, Becky Perry.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie Perry; his grandchild, Zachary Perry; his parents, Earl and Nell Perry; and his sister, Faye Scott.

Gary was a lifelong University of Kentucky Wildcats fan who enjoyed cheering on both the basketball and football teams. He loved playing sports himself, including softball and basketball, and especially enjoyed throwing horseshoes. His competitive nature always shined through in any sport or activity he took part in.

He also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening. Gary loved singing karaoke, flying RC planes, and always valued a good home-cooked meal. Known for his great sense of humor, he could always bring a smile to your face or make you laugh.

Gary attended Butler High School and was a proud Mason. He worked for more than 20 years as a forklift driver at American Standard before retiring from Mobile Mini.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
