Gary W. Babcock

Gary W. Babcock, 70, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026. He was born on October 12, 1955.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond E. Babcock and Jane M. Babcock.

He is survived by his brothers, Charles R. Babcock (Carolyn), Dennis W. Babcock (Judy), and Mark M. Babcock (Bridget), as well as many nieces and nephews. Also mourning his passing are his close friends, Demeca and Amy.

Gary’s favorite pastimes were spent outdoors. He loved fly fishing, backpacking, sailing, and motorcycling. He especially enjoyed Kentucky’s Red River Gorge and the Smoky Mountains. Always an avid reader, Gary enjoyed audiobooks later in life. He also never turned down an opportunity to watch a good Western on television.

Gary was a good man with a kind heart, and he will be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved him.

The family would like to thank Signature HealthCARE Summerfield and Hosparus Health for the care and compassion given to Gary during his final days.
