George Winstead

George B. Winstead, 90, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 24, 2026. He was born in Nashville, TN, to the late Claude and Jane Winstead. He was one of nine siblings, all of whom preceded him in death.

In 1956, George married the love of his life, Elizabeth Spink. They raised four children together and were married for 54 years until Elizabeth passed away in 2010.

George was an electrician by trade and the owner of Muench Electric for 26 years. He always treated his employees with dignity and respect and was admired for his generosity toward the church, family, and friends.

George belonged to the Elks Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf with his wife, son, and friends. Over the years, George was known for hitting many holes-in-one.

George is survived by his four children, Susan Byrley (William), Mark Winstead (Mary), Kimberly Davis (Jeff), and Rebecca Darst (Charles); six grandchildren, Chris Byrley (Whitney), Kasey Devin (Clint), Ashley Fike (Darren), Skyler Davis (Merryll), Taylor Kleffner (Teddy), and Chase Darst (Erica); and five great-grandchildren, Caroline, Hollis, and Piper Byrley, and Lainey and Adley Kleffner.

He was a loving provider, a quick-witted and hardworking man, and he will be sadly missed by all.

A private service will be held for close friends and family.
