Gilbert Hume

Gilbert Hume, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on October 23, 2025. 

He is survived by two daughters, Samantha and Amanda; three grandchildren, Cia, Kelsey, and Jordon; his mother and step-father, Melva and Gene King; siblings, Gary, Steve and Sandra, Teresa and Rick, Jody and Sherry, and Carl; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; aunt, Helen King; and many cousins. 

Gilbert is preceded in death by his grandparents, father, nephew, great aunt and uncle, uncles and aunts, and a cousin. 

Gilbert was a hard worker who put his all into his drywall business. He loved camping and fishing on the River and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats every chance he got. He was a proud graduate of Iroquois High School, and he attended Ahrens Trade School. 

Cremation was chosen, and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, IN, has been entrusted with arrangements.
