Ginger Moore
October 24, 1947 ~ September 18, 2023
Ginger Lee Moore of New Albany, IN, was a loving Mother, Mamaw, Sister, and Friend. She passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2023 at the age of 76.
A native of Cincinnati, she was born to Ella Jean Noel of Cincinnati, OH and Carl F. Wilson of Russell Springs, KY. After graduating from high school she attended Indiana University Southeast obtaining her associate degree. Ginger was a homemaker, small business owner and had a long career as a Switchboard Operator at Floyd Memorial Hospital. For 30 years if you called the hospital you probably spoke to Ginger.
Ginger Loved spending time with her Children, Family & Friends most of all! She was an exceptional Chef, creating a delicious meal for all. She made a mean Biscuit & Gravy. Her Vegetable Soup was a huge favorite of her Grandchildren and she was also well-known for her hometown Cincinnati Chili. She loved nothing more than seeing her Family & Friends gathered around the table enjoying her food & company.
Ginger was preceded in death by her beloved Parents Ella Jean Decker (Noel), Carl F. Wilson, beloved Niece Nicole Elizabeth Wilson (Nikki) and her beloved Grandson, Michael Paul Madden (Mikie). She is survived by her sisters Carla (Candy) McClure (Wilson), of Kentucky, Jacquie Decker Adkins, of Cincinnati, her brother Carl Rickey Wilson, of Florida, and (step-father) James (Gene) Eugene Decker, of Cincinnati. Her daughter Lisa (Moore) Madden Fiore, and sons Donald Lee Moore, Jr, John Paul Moore and her ex-husband Donald L. Moore Sr. She is also survived by her Beautiful Grandchildren John Michael, Halee Jean, Allison Renee, Lauren Michelle, Jack Henry, Angelina Grace and Vivienne Elizabeth. Her Nieces & Nephews: Carl James McClure, Amber Grace McClure Walker, Sandy Bleh, Amanda Wilson, Brandi Wilson, Mathew Grubbs and Isabella Adkins.
As Ginger wished, her life will be Celebrated with a Friends & Family gathering on Saturday, September 30th at 1:00 p.m. in our home. Please contact us by eMail for the address tfiore1225@gmail.com. Donations can me made to any Ronald McDonald House in Mikie’s & Nikki’s honor.
Grief and love are conjoined, you don’t get one without the other. All we can do is love her, and love the world, emulate her by living with daring spirit and joy. ~ Jandy Nelson
