Glen Ray

Glen Ray, 94, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026. He was born in Upton , Kentucky, where his roots and love for country life were deeply planted.
Glen proudly served his country in the United States Army until 1953. Following his service, he spent many years as a truck driver, a career that suited his love for the open road and his devotion to this country.
A devoted fan of NASCAR and Kentucky basketball, Glen rarely missed a race or a game. He also enjoyed watching Westerns, sharing a good laugh, and telling stories—of which he never seemed to run out. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his beloved grandpuppies, Osa, Ozi, Opi, and Oti, who brought him endless happiness.
Glen is survived by his grandson, David (Jenifer) Ray, of Clarksville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Debra Cunningham and Tammy Lopez; son-in-law, William Cunningham; brothers, Damon Ray and Maxey Ray; sisters, Irene Ray, Pauline Smith, and Bertha Ray; and his parents, Jake and Maggie Ray.
Glen will be remembered for his strong spirit, kind heart, love of storytelling, and the many memories he shared with those who loved him. His legacy of service, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

I was blessed that Glen enter my life, he made me always smile and gave me encouragement. I loved hearing his stories of his life. Glen became a part of my family, I was blessed! I am going to miss him and miss him telling me every Sunday night when I would tell him , “ I will see you next weekend,” and he would say, “ I will be here waiting on you, and he always was up to his finally breath
