Gregory N. Reed

Gregory N. Reed passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2025. He was a devoted father, loving brother, proud "Papaw," and a cherished friend to many.

Gregory is survived by his daughter, Brooke (Ronald Jr.) Pollard, and his beloved grandchildren: Riley Pollard, Ronald Pollard III, Royce Pollard, and Raylan Pollard.

He is also survived by his siblings: Theresa Cannon and Ronnie (Penny) Reed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary E. Reed (Wright) and Paul F. Reed; brothers Bruce, Gary, Mike, and Roland T. Reed; and his beloved Boston Terrier, Ozzy.

Gregory was a proud 3rd Degree Mason of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky F. & A.M. He worked as a steelworker at Millennium Forge, retiring in 2019, and was a member of USW Local 1693. Prior to that, he served as a supervisor at Metalite Corporation in New Albany, Indiana, from 1987 to 2005.

A loyal University of Kentucky fan, Gregory enjoyed watching games, playing chess and darts, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved taking them to Gatti’s Pizza, Kart Country, and slot car racing events. Dining at El Nopal was another favorite pastime.

A memorial service will be held at Tom Wallace Park, Lakeside Shelter, on June 14th at 3:00 PM.

Gregory will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
