Gregory Steven Wilkins, 68, passed away on December 4, 2025.

He is survived by his two sons, Shane Wilkins and David Wilkins; his daughters-in-law, Alison Wilkins and Trudy Wilkins; his grandsons, Chase Wilkins and Logan Wilkins; his beloved granddaughter, Lilly Perkins; and his brothers, Tim Wilkins and Matt Crosswell.

Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Crosswell; his father, Theron Dale Wilkins; and his brothers, Jeff Wilkins and Russell Wilkins; and his lifelong best friend, Eric Broadway, who was like a brother to him. Gregory and Eric shared a friendship that began in elementary school and endured throughout his life.

Gregory’s life was grounded in his passionate love for God and his personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which guided his actions, work ethic, and the compassion he showed to others. He was a master mechanic, earning his 30-year award patch through dedication and skill. Even after undergoing back surgery, Gregory refused to give up on his working career, facing challenges with perseverance and determination.

At 47 years old, Gregory returned to college and earned his nursing degree. He became known for caring for people the same way he fixed machines—with patience, understanding, and heart. Sharing his love for others through service is how he earned the affectionate nickname “Doc.”

Gregory also loved music and guitars, enjoyed hunting, and was passionate about coaching football and baseball. Some of his favorite moments were spent sitting by the fire, listening to music, and playing his guitar. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal in March of 1976 and again in 1979, honors that reflected his integrity and dedication.

Gregory will be remembered for his faith, resilience, generosity, and the deep love he held for his family and everyone whose life he touched.
