Helen Colleen Humphrey-Coomer, 65, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy was her family.

When Helen said, "I love you," she meant it. She was fiery, strong, and full of personality, yet beneath her tough exterior was a gentle and loving heart. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make others laugh. She loved scary movies, binge-watching her favorite films, shopping, taking drives in her best friend Becky's Mustang, playing online games, pulling harmless pranks, and anything purple.

Helen fiercely loved and protected her family, especially her grandchildren, and becoming a great-grandmother brought her endless happiness. Though she wasn't a religious woman for much of her life, she loved the Lord, was baptized before her passing, and found peace knowing she was ready for Heaven.

Helen is survived by her sons, Justin W. Humphrey, Travis L. Humphrey, and Marcus A. Humphrey; her daughter, Krystal M. Coomer; her brother, Raymond Humphrey; her grandsons, Matthew G. Humphrey of Virginia, and Leland P. Devary of Corydon; her granddaughter, Hayleigh N. Coomner(Baelin); and great-granddaughter, Bayleigh Milliner; her best friend and soul sister, Becky Kerns; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dillon and Margaret Enlow Humphrey; her son, Michael W. Cozart; her brothers, William "Butch," Jackie, Donald, and Gary Humphrey; and her sisters, Patty Brown, Barbara Marship, Nancy Humphrey, and Brenda Humphrey.

Helen's love, laughter, strength, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
