Hyman Kenneth Spencer, 78, of Big Clifty, Kentucky passed away on September 16, 2024.
He is survived by his companion of more than 20 years, Lilli West; daughters, Mary (Doug) Tilles, Shirley Dockery, Tina (Roger) Niehaus, and Amanda (Scott) West; sons, Michael (Melissa) Spencer and Joey Jecker; son-in-law, Ernie Buchanan; brother, Chester Spencer; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Hyman found delight in sharing his prized antique tractor at local fairs, proudly earning several trophies over the years. Hyman had a unique appreciation for history, particularly reflected in his collection of Confederate memorabilia. He was a man of tradition, enjoying wrestling matches and classic Westerns on TV. His favorite meals were found at the Chinese buffet, especially when frog legs or crawfish were on the menu. Hyman also loved the thrill of lawn mower tractor pulls, a pastime that brought him much happiness. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, as a man who lived life on his own terms, finding joy in the simple and the extraordinary alike.
Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, IN has been entrusted with the arrangements.

What I remember the most is how happy he made my friend Lillie and how much fun we had when we got together up on there hill in Caneyville. I don’t know why but I known him as Carolina? It didn’t matter if we where building fires riding 4 wheelers playing cards or going to tractor shows he was down for anything he was a kind fair honest man and as long as u showed him the same respect he was ok he also did not take any bs and wasn’t afraid to let u know if you were out of line busy lives sicknesses and miles apart kept us apart I really regret that. But I know that one day we will meet again thank you sir for being my friends knight in shining armor I love u the most for thst. Untill we meet again Carolina RIP
