James Charles Hammock

James Charles Hammock, age 54, passed away on June 27, 2025.

He is survived by his son, Tyler Hammock (Stephanie), and their children, Aiden and Reagan Hammock; daughter, Gracey Hammock; daughter, Gabrielle Clark (Dylean), and their children, Briar and Brody Clark. He also lovingly considered Dylean’s daughter, Kylee Clark, as one of his own.

He leaves behind his siblings: Sharon King, Carolyn Roberts, and Douglas Hammock; nieces and nephews: Matthew Roberts, Eric Roberts, Michael King, Johnathan King, and Alecia Powell, along with their children. He is also survived by many cousins throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana, as well as dear friends who were like family.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James William Hammock and Mildred Sue Hammock, and several aunts and uncles from Indiana and Tennessee.

A lifelong carpenter, James took pride in his work and craftsmanship. He also worked in the maintenance department at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY, where he made many lasting connections. He was an avid motorcycle rider, a devoted University of Kentucky basketball fan, and had a deep love for music and guitar work.

Known for his generous spirit, James was the kind of man who would drop everything to help someone in need. He will be remembered as a "man’s man" with a heart of gold and an unwavering love for those close to him.
