James Leo Krages III

James Leo Krages III, 54, passed away on July 10, 2026. He was born on October 17, 1971.
James is survived by his loving parents, James Jr. and Paulette Krages; his two sons, Austin Krages and Leeland Krages; his nephews, T.J. Krages and Travis Krages; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Krages, and his grandparents.
James proudly served his country in the United States Navy for two years. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and playing golf. A gifted artist, James had a remarkable talent for drawing and painting, with the ability to create just about anything he imagined. His creativity and artistic spirit were admired by those who knew him.
James will be remembered for his kind heart, artistic gifts, and the love he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives he touched.

My heartfelt condolences to the Krages family. I had the privilege of teaching Leeland, and one thing that always stood out to me was how much James loved his sons and how proud he was of them. My dad did so much for me he was very generous. One time me and my dad went down to the Ohio river and collected sand for our first time going together and we had fun we looked at cool sea shells and logs. I’m gonna miss him he was my favorite person on this planet and he will be missed.
