James Leon Landmesser

8/9/1940 - 8/21/2026

James Leon Landmesser, of Corydon, Indiana, and former owner of Indian Creek Trading Post, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026. He was a graduate of Cornell University, a veteran of the Vietnam War, and proudly served in the Peace Corps. James leaves behind a legacy of kindness and cherished memories.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Jean, and his beloved wife of over 50 years, Martha. His memory lives on through his sister, Doris; adult children, Sarah and Glenn; grandchildren, Nathan, Jack, Antonio, and Sam; and many lifelong friends who will miss him dearly.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate James’s life will be held at 11:15 AM ET on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Corydon, Indiana, followed by a private burial for immediate family.
