James Michael Wayne passed away on March 19th surrounded by his loving family. James was born on July 22nd, 1975 to Burnice and Darlene Wayne in Louisville, Kentucky.

James grew up in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. James spent time being active in sports with the other children in the community and loved spending time at the Portland Boy and Girls club and at the fire station next to his childhood home.

James would go on to meet Tammy (James) and got married in 1995 and was able to spend the last 30 years married to his soulmate living in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

James was a dedicated employee of Cardinal Concrete Pumping. James loved working for the Hobbs family (Mike and Janet) and enjoyed working side by side with his co-workers Raymond, Wayne, Chris, Nick, Jason and so many more.

James was an active member in the short track racing community and spent 26 years racing cars across the country with the help of his great friend and title sponsor Danny Wheeler. James raced in the Dromer, Sportsman, CRA and Ohio Wheelman divisions throughout his career. James loved the racing community and enjoyed watching his son, James Wayne Jr., race at the Sportsdrome Speedway. They were surrounded by friends and family each week and that is what James loved the most.
