James Timothy Colligan

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James Timothy Colligan. James was born on May 15, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky, and passed away on July 18, 2025, in New Albany, Indiana. He was 75 years old. As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, James served his country honorably during the Vietnam War.

James was the beloved father of Larissa Berberick and Jason Colligan; grandfather of Nick Berberick and Emma Colligan; and great-grandfather of Rowan Haycraft. He was one of nine siblings and is remembered fondly by his brother Mike Colligan and sisters Kay Kragel, Nancy Magnuson, Bonnie Weber, Julie Mazdai, Brigitte Adams and her husband Dave, and Becky Campbell and her husband Jeff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Zoe and William Colligan, as well as his sister Patty White.

His infectious laughter and kind heart will be remembered by all who knew him. His memory will be cherished by his family and all who were touched by his presence. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
