Janice Desmond
08/14/1949 - 02/01/2026
Janice Desmond, lovingly known as Jan, was born on August 14, 1949, and passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life.
Jan is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Timothy Desmond. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and unwavering support. She was a proud and caring mother to her two sons, Troy and Travis Desmond, and cherished her daughters-in-law, Brandy and Kim. Nothing brought Jan more joy than her role as a grandmother, and she treasured every moment spent with her five grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved mother, two sisters, and a brother, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Jan graduated from Balboa High School in the Panama Canal Zone, a place that always remained part of her story. She was an avid University of Louisville fan and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her team. Above all else, Jan loved spending time with her family—whether gathered for celebrations, sharing everyday moments, or simply being together. Her warmth, loyalty, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Jan’s life will be held in the Spring, when family and friends will come together to honor her memory and the love she leaves behind.
