Jean Hollinger

Jean Hollinger, 70, of Nashville, Indiana, passed away on December 18, 2025 at Indiana University Health Hospice House in Bloomington, Indiana.
Jean, daughter of Paul and Teresa Hollinger, was born on December 19, 1954 in Orrville, Ohio. She graduated from Orrville High School in 1973. She attended Wayne College and Bowling Green University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree. She worked in retail management for Woolworths and Hills Department Stores. In 2008, Jean earned a Masters in Education and embarked on a second career teaching special needs students in Monroe County Community Schools and Covenant Christian Schools in Bloomington. Jean had many eclectic interests. She enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening, feeding and watching the birds in her yard, and even co-hosted a radio jazz show on WFHB for several years.
Jean is survived by her sisters; Amy Hollinger and Beth Shafer (Dave), nieces Amanda Ewoldt (Aaron) and Rachel Shafer, nephew Brian Reynolds well as two great nieces; Arvella and Analise Ewoldt. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Maggie and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Parham, her parents and siblings; Cindy Hinkle, Kelli Hollinger, and nephew David Shafer.
No formal services will be held at Jean’s request. Her ashes will be scattered in a place she found peace and solitude in accordance with her wishes. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Brown County Humane Society or WFHB community radio.
