Jeanette Berry

7/21/1963 – 11/20/2024

Jeanette Marie Burns Berry, 61, of Charlestown, IN passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd.

Jeanette grew up in Clarksville, IN and attended Clarksville High School. She was a proud wife and mother, but being a grandmother and dog mom gave her the most joy. She was a creative soul who had a unique knack for making any house a home, turning a table of materials into a beautiful piece of decorative art, and crafting a warm and happy holiday season — her favorite time of year — through her delicious recipes and festive interiors. Jeanette (or “Netty” as she was affectionately known) was a woman who loved to laugh, entertain family and friends in her home, tell silly stories, play games, ride on the back of her husband’s Harley Davidson, cook, and try to make others feel better with her words.

Jeanette’s mother, Betty Burns, and her sister, Cherie Brockmeier, preceded her in death, and now she returns to them.

She is survived by her husband Wes Berry, son Michael Jester, daughter Haley Pyke (Shane Richards), grandson Baylen Pyke, father Thomas Burns (Terry), sister in law Donna Hensley (Larry), stepsister Laura Boone Laurice (Billy), stepbrother Doug Boone (Lindsey), nephew Wesley Hensley, and countless other cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and her dog, Zeus — all of whom she loved dearly.

Her loved ones invite you to celebrate Jeanette’s life during a memorial service at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Memphis Christian Church located at 13503 Memphis-Blue Lick Rd. in Memphis, IN. She will be buried privately at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN, near her family.

The family welcomes floral tributes, or a donation in Jeanette’s name can be made to the Cronh's   &  Colitis Foundation. https://on-line.crohnscolitisfoundation.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donate.event&eventID=1036

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Jeanette and I have always had a special connection. We loved crafting together and I felt very privileged to share time scrapbooking together laughing , crying and cutting up. Many times I would get urge to call check on her and she’d say I was just about to call you, She holds a very special place in my heart. Someday she will meet me just inside that Eastern gate then we can spend a thousand years walking around the sights of Heaven or around the crystal sea and praising OUR Savior forever more. My prayers are with her family. Please know she is a special beautiful lady.
