Jerry Ruben Morrison
5/24/1951 - 4/27/2026
Jerry Ruben Morrison, 74, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on April 27, 2026. He was born on May 24, 1951, in New Albany to the late Kester “Chet” and Pauline (Eurton) Morrison. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Joe Morrison (Karen), of Greenville.
Jerry is survived by his siblings, Terry Morrison of Georgetown, Dennis Morrison (Dianna) of Georgetown, and Cynthia Murphy of New Albany. He was a devoted and loving uncle to Lee, Neil, Nicholas, Erik, Elizabeth, Ashley, Jonathan, Kristy, Andrew Morrison, Jeremy Murphy, Erin Atkinson, and Hannah Ament. He will also be deeply missed by many dear cousins and friends who became family to him over the years.
We want to extend our sincere appreciation to Jerry’s neighbors and friends, Larry and Patty Fischer for their kindness and support of Jerry during his illness.
A 1969 graduate of New Albany High School, Jerry built a distinguished career in parking and facilities management, serving as Manager of Operations for Riverside Parking at the University of Louisville Medical Complex for over 35 years.
Outside of work, Jerry embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved golfing, kayaking, bowling, and playing billiards, and was a devoted follower of IU Hoosiers basketball. His passion for golf led to some cherished memories, including a hole-in-one at New Salisbury GC and back-to-back victories in the “Ruben Cup,” a just- for-fun golf competition among friends. Some of his most treasured rounds were played alongside his father, brothers, and sister-in-law.
Jerry will be remembered as a true gentleman — a man who loved deeply, cared genuinely, and left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed.
A Celebration of Life is currently being planned for a future date.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Jerry’s memory are encouraged to make a donation to a charity of their choice.

Jerry was a wonderful, dedicated employee for Riverside Parking. Even after retiring, he was always willing to come back to work and fill in if needed. I will remember Jerry for his warm smile and friendly personality.
Rest in peace, Jerry!
