Jessica Kruetzman
11/19/1983 - 04/29/2026
Jessica Kruetzman of Louisville passed away at the age of 42 after a long and courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. Through every hardship, Jessi showed strength, grace, and humor, along with an unwavering love for the people who mattered most to her.
Jessi’s greatest joy was her daughter, Lily. She loved Lily deeply and fiercely, and being her mother was the center and pride of her life.
She was also a longtime employee of Kentucky Farm Bureau, where she built lasting friendships through years of dedicated service as a team lead.
Jessi found joy in the things that reflected her unique spirit: crafts, movies of all kinds — especially horror movies — music and musicals, art history, collecting crystals, glamping, and the beloved kitties who brought her comfort and companionship throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Lily; her mother, Kaye; her stepmother, Glenda; her sister, Amy; Amy’s wife, Kate; and their son, Ronan; as well as her beloved best friend, Matt, whose friendship brought her comfort, laughter, and unwavering care. She was preceded in death by her father, William, and her grandparents, William, Lily, Harry, and Grace. She is also lovingly remembered by many cherished family members and friends whose love and support meant everything to her.
Those who knew Jessi will remember her resilience, her warmth, and the way she made the people around her feel truly seen and loved. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, courage, and love, and lived her life unfailingly on her own terms.
A celebration of Jessi’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared directly with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jessi’s memory to Purrfect Day Cat Café of Louisville or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Jessi will be missed beyond words by her family, her friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

I wanted to share a memory with Jessi that will live in my brain forever. There were may at Parkland and Seneca together. She was my carpool buddy since I was a year older and I would drive her home as I worked at the daycare in her neighborhood. As you would expect, we shared a lot of life, songs and secrets. She was the first person I told about crushes and one in particular I dated and was waiting for my first kiss. She said “well when it happens, I’m making you a T shirt and we are celebrating!” About two months later we got shakes at McDonalds and she made me a shirt! She was the friend who met you right where you were and I’m so sad we didn’t get much time as adults. I do think that kind of kindness is never forgotten and lives on beyond physical presence. Much love to all who loved her and was touched by her♥️

Jessie and I worked together at Kinder Care when Lily was just a little girl. I had the pleasure of working with her and she taught me so much. She taught me how to run the center when her and the director was not available to be there. Jessie was a sweetheart and I thank her for all the knowledge she gave me. I also want to thank her for allowing me to remain apart of her daughters life. Jessie truly had a heart of gold. Thank you Jess for all the memories. The birthday parties at your house and for making me feel like family. You will truly be missed.
