Jimmie Dale Berry

Jimmie Dale Berry, 70, is finally free from several years of battling cancer. He passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of September 10, 2026. 

Jimmie was a lifelong resident of Anderson, Indiana and barely knew a stranger. He was an avid story teller and loved poking fun and making jokes at (sometimes with, if you were lucky) his friends and family. He may have been small in stature but boy did he make up for it with his toughness. He loved hard, and in turn his emotions hurt hard, too. 

Jimmie was a simple man and lived for a hot summer day, riding on his Harley and then coming home to those he loved the most (pets included). He had the biggest heart and gave all he had to those he thought deserved it. 

Although Jimmie is no longer with us, knowing that he is no longer in pain is what matters most. He will be missed by all that knew him, but especially by his daughter by choice, Shawneka (36) of Indianapolis and her 3 children, Alden (7), Vara (5), and Oliver (2) that were spoiled rotten and loved so purely by their one and only Papaw. 

In lieu of a formal service, a celebration of life will take place in June of 2027 for all friends and family to come together to share fond memories of a man they all knew and loved.
