Joan Lepselter

Joan Bleecker Lepselter, 92, passed away peacefully in Bloomington, Indiana, on July 23, 2026. 

Joan was born on April 30, 1934, in Montreal, and grew up in Brooklyn. She and her husband Martin raised their family and continued to enjoy life for many years in Summit, NJ.

Joan was an avid and accomplished hiker, a world traveler, and a volunteer for various local and national organizations. She taught English as a Second Language, and was active in the League of Women Voters.

Her greatest joy in later life was spending time with her children, Susan (David), Alisa (Charles), and Geoffrey (Elizabeth); and grandchildren, Schuyler, Nicole, Serena, and Lily, all of whom survive her, as do many dear friends and family. 

She was predeceased by Martin in 2020, after over 60 years of marriage, and by her parents, Ed and Muriel Bleecker.
