John Richard Gaines Jr.

4/21/1936-2/13/2026

John Richard Gaines Jr. passed away peacefully on 2/13/2026 at the age of 89. He was born on 4/21/1936 in Louisville, Kentucky, preceded in death by John R. Gaines Sr. and Dolores J Hardy Gaines. 
After graduating from Ahrens Trade School, he worked at Brown Brothers Cadillac, and was the owner of Fern Valley Body Shop. John Richard Gaines Jr was also a member of AA for 45 years where he sponsored and helped numerous people. 
He is survived by his children, John R Gaines III (Donna), Bridget Gaines, Julie Rodriguez (Mike), and Robert Gaines. he also leaves behind four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. 

A celebration of life for John will be at a later date at an AA Location.
