John Wendell Thompson

John Wendell Thompson, 64, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026. He was born on October 6, 1961.

John proudly served in the Army Reserves for four years and was very proud of his military service. He had a deep love for cars, and music was a true passion throughout his life.

John was a devoted father and brother who cherished his family. He was always a caregiver, willing to help those he loved in any way he could. John was a very independent man who would gladly give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He was loved and cherished by many and will be deeply missed.

John is survived by his daughters, Amanda Davillier (David), Laura Thompson, Elizabeth Strickland (Duane), and Wendy Patterson.

He is also survived by his siblings, Allen W. Thompson (Pam V), Lucy Parker (Jack), Teresa Parker, Buck Bucannon (Melissa), Amanda Meridia (Robert), Karen Martin (James), and Sharon Thompson.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Edna Lou Thompson (Spegal) and Willard Samson Thompson; and his siblings, Yvonne Stewart, Trealbe Thompson, Oscar Brian Blevins, and Ricky Thompson.

John's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew and loved him.
