Joseph E. Burt

Joseph E. Burt, 46, of Frankfort, KY died on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Frankfort
Regional Medical Center.

He was born on November 5, 1978 in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, the son of the late
Lawrence Joseph Burt and the late Rhonda Gaye Herald Burt. He earned his GED and
had last worked as a stone mason. He enjoyed watching sports, especially Cincinnati
Bengals football and Kentucky Wildcats basketball.

He is survived by his son, Bradly “Kegan” McDonald of Versailles, KY; his
granddaughter, Lilyana Hollon of Frankfort, KY; a brother, David Burt of Louisville, KY;
two aunts, Dale Eaves of Worthville, KY and Sheilah Norton of Danville, KY; three
uncles, Barry Herald of Worthville, KY, Ricky Herald of Worthville, KY, and Dennis
Herald of Leesburg, FL; and a special friend of many years, Anna First of Warsaw, KY.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ashley Voyles Burt; his grandson, Bentley
McDonald; and his parents.

The family invite those who knew him to a Celebration of Life visitation and memorial
service to be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Dean
Memorial United Methodist Church, 101 Church Street, Worthville, KY. Cremation
services were chosen by the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations may be made to Dean Memorial United
Methodist Church.

Cremation was chosen and Magnolia Cremations of Jeffersonville, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
