Juanita Guajardo de Robles passed peacefully at home, with her daughter by her side, on Wednesday, May 12, 2026, in New Albany, Indiana.

She was born on September 5, 1945, in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Juanita was a beloved wife, Mamá, Memó, GG (great-grandma), daughter, sister, and friend. Her greatest passion was loving, caring for, and spending time with her family as much as possible.  She also enjoyed collecting and selling antiques, shopping, gardening, going to the casino, playing cards,  dancing with her husband, and playing with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and grand pups.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe “Lupe” Robles Sanchez; her parents, Montserrat Lopez de Guajardo and Jose Angel Guajardo Lopez; her father-in-law, Ernesto Robles; her mother-in-law, Angelita Sanchez de Robles; her sister, Ana Maria Guajardo de Peña; her brother, Guadalupe Guajardo Lopez; and her son-in-law, Greg F. Dorman.

She is survived by her daughter, Leticia “Letty” Robles Dorman; her stepson, Leo Robles (Ellie); her grandchildren, Ryan Lee Burke (Hannah) and Loren LeeAnn Olson (Michael) Kirstin Marie Robles and her great-grandchildren, Leia Sophia Burke, Landon Ryan Burke, Olivia Grace Olson, step great grandchildren Wesley Owen Dorman and Grady Anderson Dorman, Carla Jean, Jenson Lee, Lila and Ariya Faye.

She is also survived by her sisters, Angelita Guajardo de Gonzalez; MariaM. Guajardo “Yolanda”; Olivia Guajardo de Ferrel; Maria de la Carmen Guajardo De La Cerda “Carmelita”; and Maria de Jesus Guajardo de Rodriguez “Chuchi”, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and godchildren.

Though Juanita is gone, her love, kindness, and spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Per Juanita’s wishes, she will be cremated by Magnolia Cremations. At a later date, she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Buena Vista Burial Park in Brownsville, Texas. A celebration of life and remembrance gathering will also be held at a later date in the Rio Grande Valley. The exact date and location are still to be determined.
