Judy Ann Tucker

March 23, 1951 – August 12, 2026

Survived by her husband of 54 years, whom she penned “Yeobo,” Arthur Keith Tucker; Beverly Barnes (Mark); Dale Tucker; Katherine Morris (Chris); Anthony Tucker; Drew Tucker (Amber); Cody Tucker (Lindsey); Evan Tucker; Kyle Tucker; Garrett Tucker; Madelyn Tucker; Ella Tucker; Riley Tucker; Mila Tucker; and Lily Grace Tucker.

Born in Busan, Korea, Judy met her husband in Daegu (formerly Taegu), South Korea, while he was deployed in the United States Army. She attained her Naturalized Citizenship in 1979, which was an extremely important and proud achievement.

Judy enjoyed life and had a passion for always doing things for others and loved being surrounded by her family. She loved to crochet and cook for friends and family. At gatherings, you would always hear her say, “Eat and enjoy yourself!” No one could make better fried rice, and her family would drive 100 miles if necessary to make sure they didn’t miss out. Judy also had a green thumb and could grow the most beautiful flowers and vegetable gardens.

The Lord, Church, and her Church family were a huge part of her life. A faithful follower of Christ, Judy attended the Immanuel Korean Church in Louisville, KY, presided by Pastor Young Kyoo Doo. She was a Deaconess (Yeoja Jibsa), who loved to do the Lord’s work in the kitchen. Judy valued all of her brothers and sisters in Christ, her closest spiritual friend Maria Silas, and Sam Yang, who would call to check in on her if she missed a Sunday.

Judy’s words for her obituary would be to thank the people closest to her for teaching her, loving her, and being in her life.

“Although her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, and a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a very long time.” —Author unknown

A Memorial Service will be held at The Immanuel Korean Church, 9615 Blue Lick Rd, Louisville, KY 40229, on August 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
