Karen Sue Holt

Karen Sue Holt, affectionately known as “Dixie,” age 62, of Breeding, Kentucky, passed away on April 13, 2026.
Karen was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joe Semon, long-time friend Michael York Sr.; her children, Michael York Jr., Natasha York, Jason (Elsa, also known as Elena) Semon, and Jessica McMillen; her siblings, Keith (Beth) Holt, Sharon (Greg) Brigham, Steve Holt, and Jeff Holt; and her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Scott, Hunter Skaggs, Sawyer McMillen, and PiperJo McMillen. She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Joe Holt, and her parents, Caroline and Claude Holt.
Karen found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening and had a deep affection for animals, especially dogs and horses. Her caring spirit and love for her family and pets were at the heart of who she was.
