Karyn Anne Hershberger (Maturo)

April 3, 1976 - July 10, 2026

Karyn Anne Hershberger (Maturo), age 50, peacefully left this world on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville, KY, surrounded by family and love. She was the loving wife of Monty Hershberger and the mother of Tessa Hershberger. Born in New Haven, CT, to Robert and Dianne Maturo (McKissock) of Sarasota, FL. 

She attended Grace Church in Elizabethtown, where Monty is the Pastor. She graduated from Sacramento State with a degree in philosophy. Karyn was a devoted dance mom, taught Barre classes at Cornerstone Fitness, and loved being a part of the dance community. Taking care of her family and home, as well as making delicious food, was a big joy in her life.

She is survived by her husband, daughter, parents, brother David Maturo, husband of Brooke Maturo, and aunt of Samuel and Lilia Maturo of San Francisco, CA. The light and love she brought to this world are gone too soon, and we know she is resting easy in the arms of Jesus. 

A memorial service will take place at Grace Heartland Church, 801 Pear Orchard Rd, Elizabethtown, KY, on Tuesday, July 14, at 5:30 pm. There will be a visitation at the church from 3:30 to 5:30 before the service.
