Kathy Kay King Bleuel

Kathy Bleuel passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on October 28, 2025. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished partner. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Kathy is survived by her children: Lisa Guess (Carey Jr.), Charles Bleuel, Jr. (Leeann), and Charlton Bleuel (Toni); her grandchildren: Alexis (Ashley), Xavier (formerly Tyler) (Madeline), Kara, Theodore, Rhys, Oscar, Mitchell (Vanessa), and Talia; and her great-grandchildren: Alena, Ella, Ryder, London, Elliana, Oliver, and Tatum.

She is also survived by her long-time partner, John Scholl; her brother, Cloyd Thomas Oaks III; and loving nieces and nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth May Oaks, and her father, Howard Edward King.

Her family invites those who wish to honor her memory to consider a donation to the Baptist Health Foundation – Palliative Care at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville.
