Katinka Orlean Pflugh, born on September 29, 1961, passed away on December
14, 2024, at Grant County Hospital in Williamstown, Kentucky.
Katinka is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, John Pflugh; her children,
Mary Davis, John Pflugh, and Joshua Pflugh; and her five cherished
granddaughters: Katrina Pflugh, Michaela (Allan) Foley, Tristen Pflugh, Serenity
Davis, and Skylar Davis. She also leaves behind 4 great-grandchildren who
brought her immense joy. Katinka’s love for her family was boundless and
unwavering.
A graduate of Simon Kenton High School in Independence, Kentucky, Katinka
spent much of her life in Independence before relocating to Dry Ridge in 2002. She
dedicated her career to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant in various
long-term care facilities throughout Northern Kentucky. In addition to her
professional work, she was a full-time caregiver to her special needs’ son,
Joshua—a role she embraced with unmatched devotion and strength.
Katinka will be remembered for her extraordinary generosity, compassion for
others, and fierce protectiveness of those she loved. She found joy in gardening,
caring for animals, and spending time with family and friends. Her husband,
children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she
treasured every moment with them.
In accordance with Katinka’s wishes, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life
will be held in the spring of 2025, her favorite season, to honor her memory and
the love she shared with so many.
May Katinka’s legacy of kindness and love continue to inspire all who knew her.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be sent to a Trust Account for John Pflugh Sr that

I have so many memories of my baby sister. We were both orphaned at a young age and adopted together in 1970. I have been like a little mother to her more than just a sister. We have been through so much in our life time but one thing has always stayed the same the love that we had for each other. I had emergency open heart surgery in 2016 and she was at my side and didn’t leave for as long as she was visiting. It is so hard to believe that she is gone form this earth but never from my heart. I love you Katinka Pflugh and will see you again in heaven.
Your Loving Sister
