Katrice Renee Ellis

Katrice Renee Ellis, born September 25, 1969, passed away on December 22, 2025, at the age of 56.

Katrice was a devoted mother and grandmother whose life was centered around her family. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering love for those closest to her. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.

She is survived by her children, RJ Hartsfield (Savannah), Kara Hartsfield, and William Motsinger; and by her seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Teena Morris, Monica Tankersley, and Kim Martin.

Katrice was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Gene Hurst and Betty J. (Blankensbaker) Hurst, and by her siblings, Robin Hurst and Mark Anthony Hurst.

A celebration of life for friends and family will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Lyles Park, 5581 E Old 56, Salem.
